About Valérie

What keeps drawing my attention.

I look at a gathering as more than a programme or a moment in time. I look at how its purpose, people, place and interactions work together, and at what those conditions make possible.

My perspective has been shaped across more than three decades in events, strategic marketing, international congresses, place activation and brand positioning. I have worked across large-scale professional platforms, commercial places and private celebrations. These different environments taught me that value depends not only on what is offered, but on how the conditions for attention, contribution and connection are shaped.

Today, I work with the departments and partners involved to shape strategic gatherings from the first questions through to the event itself. Together, we clarify what the gathering needs to make possible, bring organisational and stakeholder realities into the process and translate that shared direction into participation, programme, experience and delivery. My role is to connect the strategic thread across those contributions so the gathering works as one coherent whole.

Participation design is the perspective that connects these stages. It helps ensure that strategic intent becomes tangible in how people are invited to contribute, interact and move something forward.

Depending on the brief, I can shape the approach, lead the event delivery or work alongside internal teams and specialist partners.

Bliss was created in 2008 and has now been reactivated around Strategic Engagement & Participation Design, alongside a distinct Private Celebrations practice.
