ERTICO — ITS Congresses · Europe & Worldwide
The mobility ecosystem came together at scale. How could that presence create stronger connections and continuity?
The European and World ITS Congresses bring together public authorities, cities, industry, researchers and mobility specialists around intelligent transport systems.
The dynamics
Programme, partnerships, exhibition, host priorities and marketing all contributed to the same congress proposition, shaped by different areas of expertise, responsibilities and stakeholder needs.
My contribution
I led congress marketing, positioning and audience engagement, working across ERTICO teams, host organisations, media partners, PCOs and delivery partners to translate these different perspectives into coherent audience strategies, narratives, content and campaigns.
What shifted
Across successive congresses, the marketing strategy and market-facing proposition became clearer and more consolidated, strengthening audience focus, visibility, delegate engagement and conversion.
What the experience revealed
The experience clarified how I think about the value of gatherings: beyond attendance and activity, what matters is the relevance of the relationships created, what they make possible afterwards, and whether the gathering strengthens the ecosystem it depends on.
A gathering is relational infrastructure. Its value lies not only in bringing people together, but in what their relationships make possible afterwards.
